Interdisciplinary artist, storyteller, and educator, Holly works primarily in photography, documentary filmmaking, traditional and non-traditional animation, and creative project management. Holly is currently a third-year MFA candidate studying Communication Media Arts at Ohio University, with an expected graduation date of May 1, 2026.

Bio
Holly’s creative work explores motherhood, womanhood and the creative process through photography, filmmaking and as co-host of the podcast Midlife Creatives. Holly is the owner of Other Perfect Things, a boutique permanent jewelry studio.
Holly has taught Media and the Creative Process and Learning Communities at Ohio University, where she also secured funding from Scripps College of Communication to develop a gallery space dedicated the Communication Media Arts program.
Holly has had a successful career in arts administration, where she lead the project management for all exhibitions in a robust program, including international biennial exhibitions such as Quilt National, supported with a $400,000 purchase prize by the Robert and Ardis James Foundation for a permanent collection at International Quilt Museum; WideOpen, juried by Pete Souza in 2020; and regional exhibitions OH+5, and Women of Appalachia Project exhibition.
Holly has served as vice-chair commissioner for the Athens Municipal Arts Council, where she lead an ad-hoc committee developing a new sculpture park and awarded over $45,000 to local artists. She also served as vice president of the Birth Circle, and advised on the OpenOhio project, connecting arts and science through public, interactive exhibitions.
Holly has been awarded the VisCom Scholarship from the School of Visual Communication, Exemplary Scholarship in Media Arts and Studies by the School of Media Arts and Studies, the Graduate Student Award for Exemplary Leadership by Scripps College of Communication. She also received full-funding from Scripps College to present her creative work at the Museum of Motherhood Annual Conference.
Holly is currently in the research year of her MFA degree, finalizing her thesis, a short film exploring postpartum mood disorders. Holly is set to graduate May 1, 2026 with her MFA in Communication Media Arts and is studying for the PMP exam.
